1 of 4 Oahu disaster-recovery centers closes today

The Disaster Recovery Center located at the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu will close for good at the end of the business day today.

Three other Disaster Recover Centers will continue to serve O'ahu residents affected by severe storms and flooding that occurred Dec. 10-16, 2008.

  • Hale'iwa: Waialua Community Association (66-434 Kamehameha Highway)

  • La'ie: La'ie Shopping Center (55-510 Kamehameha Highway)

  • Wai'anae: Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (86-260 Farrington Highway)

    The centers are open Monday through Friday from noon to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until further notice.
