Hungry for some jazz?

The Les Peetz Trio, featuring Rachel Gonzales on vocals, Dave Chiorini on bass and Stacey Tangonan on drums, can help feed that need while raising money for the Hawaii Foodbank.

The benefit concert, 7:30 tonight at the Atherton Performing Arts Studio, will have an unpredictable repertoire, with some Irving Berlin, Thelonius Monk and Bela Bartok mixed in among original and improvised pieces.

Gonzales, one of Hawai'i's top jazz singers, and pianist Peetz recently finished an invitational tour of Washington state.

Sponsored by Hawaii Public Radio, ABC Stores, Don Quijote and the Hawaii Food Industry Association, all proceeds from the $20 concert tickets go directly to the food bank, along with the nonperishable food donations audience members are encouraged to bring. Call 955-8821 for reservations and information.ΐ
