Art Academy clearance sale starts Feb. 7

Advertiser Staff

On Feb. 7 and 8, clearance items at the Honolulu Academy of Arts Shop will be marked down up to 80 percent.

Anything still there on Feb. 10 will be further reduced — an extra 50 percent for donated items — and all proceeds will support Academy programs.

The sale includes folk art from the last World Art Bazaar, books from the art research library, frames of all sizes, collectibles from the Academy Guild, as well as stationery, posters, jewelry and ethnic clothing.

Academy Shop Manager Kathee Hoover said in a release that prices will be dropped on "anything that needs a price adjustment to find a new home. You can get a tote bag starting at $1.99 or an African beaded mask that was originally $650 going for 30 percent less."

The Academy Shop Annual Clearance Sale is 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 8. It will be held at the Academy Art Center at Linekona at 1111 Victoria St.
