More than 100 members of the advance party of the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division and more than 80 members of the 728th Military Police Battalion returned to Hawaii early this morning from a 15-month deployment in Iraq.

The troops were taken by bus from Hickam Air Force base to Wheeler Army Air Field.

During their deployment, the 4,500 soldiers of the Stryker Brigade conducted more than 30,000 patrols and found more than 1,100 weapons caches.

They also completed more than 150 school projects and 20 hospital projects.

The 728th Battalion helped train more than 5,000 Iraqi police officers.
