Journalism internships available

The Society of Professional Journalists Hawai'i Chapter is looking for college students interested in paid summer internships in broadcast and print media.

Preference is given to students who are Hawai'i residents enrolled in a college or university here or on the Mainland. Applicants will be considered only if they can be completed their sophomore year of college by June 2009.

Print internships are fulltime for 10 weeks. Selected interns will receive $3,250. Internships will be at the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, The Honolulu Advertiser, Maui News, Pacific Business News, Hawaii Business magazine, Honolulu magazine and Trade Publishing Co. Part-time internships for eight weeks at 27 hours a week are offered at KGMB Channel 9, KHON Channel 2, KHNL Channel 8, KITV Channel 4. Selected he broadcast interns will receive $1,750.
