Hawaiian Electric Co. will host a free Family Literacy Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wai'anae Public Library.

The library day is designed for families with children in kindergarten through sixth grade,

Storytellers, children's activities, displays and games will help kids to have fun with reading — and learn about electrical safety, energy conservation and renewable energy.

Adults will be able to pick up information on topics such as conserving energy at home and the benefits of solar water heating.
