McLachlin 3-under at FBR Open; Wilson at even

Honolulu's Parker McLachlin rallied for three birdies on his final seven holes to finish with an even-par 71 today at the FBR Open in Scottsdale, Ariz.

McLachlin's two-round total of 3-under 139 (68-71) should make the cut, which is projected at even par.

Another Hawaii golfer Dean Wilson is at even par overall after rounds of 69-73.

McLachlin, a Punahou School alum, had four birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey today.

After a birdie on the par-5 third hole, McLachlin gave four shots back with two bogeys on the front nine and a double on the 11th to go 3-over for the day.

But he then birdied Nos. 12, 15 and 16 to finish at even par for the day.

On Thursday, McLachlin's round featured an eagle on the par-5 third. He also had four birdies, a bogey and a double bogey.

Wilson, a Castle High alum, had four birdies, four bogeys and a double-bogey to finish at 2-over for the day.

On Thursday, Wilson had five birdies and three bogeys for a 2-under 69.
