Weather to turn warm, muggy later today

Light winds will continue across the state through tonight, the National Weather Service said.

There will be a chance of afternoon and evening showers over interior areas as the sea breezes dominate, forecasters said
Light trade winds will develop on Thursday, then increase to moderate levels on Friday and continue through the holiday weekend.

Here’s a more detailed look at what’s in store for the rest of the work week:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. North wind at 7 mph becoming south.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73. East wind around 7 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 85. East wind between 5 and 11 mph.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 13 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. East wind between 10 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday Night: Isolated showers after midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. East wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
