University of Hawai'i' center fielder Kolten Wong was named to Baseball America's Freshman All-America Team, the newspaper's Web site announced yesterday.

Wong batted .341, scoring 46 runs, hitting 11 home runs with 52 RBIs. He also had 11 steals. The Western Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year also has been named to three other Freshman All-America teams. He also was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings all-West Regional second team.

Wong is playing with the USA National Team that will travel to Japan and Canada this summer.
