High surf advisory remains for all south shores

Advertiser Staff

A high surf advisory is expected to remain in effect for the south-facing shores of all islands through 6 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along the affected shores will be 6 to 8 feet today and is expected to be even higher on Friday when a new south swell arrives.
Elsewhere on Oahu today, look for surf of 2 to 5 feet along west-facing shores and 2 to 4 feet along north- and east-facing shores.
Outlook through Tuesday, July 7: A series of swells originating in the southern hemisphere will maintain surf heights near or above the high surf advisory threshold of 8 feet along south facing shores through Saturday, before diminishing Sunday and Monday.
Elsewhere, small north and northeast swells will cause a slight increase in surf heights along north- and east-facing shores through Saturday.
