Robert Alm, the executive vice president of Hawaiian Electric Co., will chair the board of directors for PBS Hawaii, the Manoa television station announced today.

Alm succeeds longtime chairman Neil Hannahs.
Alm also is the chairman of the board for the nonprofit organization Enterprise Honolulu and teaches a graduate course in leadership at the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
PBS Hawaii is the state’s only public television station.
