Blue Scholars coming to Loft

Advertiser Staff

The flavorful group Blue Scholars duo will be coming to Honolulu to perform at Loft Gallery and Lounge Sept. 25, BAMP Project announced today.

Their rhythm and rhyme lyrics focusing on the struggles of life and the challenges youth face today have successfully put this group on the map of influential underground artists.
Originating out of Seattle but with strong ties to Hawaii, DJ Sabzi and MC Geologic will tour the islands debuting their new album called "Hawaii."
Raised in Hawaii as a child, Geologic's lyrics are influenced by his Filipino lineage and the struggles his family faced, a passion that can be heard in hit songs "Blink", "Commencement Day", "The Ave" and "Loyalty" off of their five albums.
Blue Scholars have paved their way and are recognized for their live performances alongside the best of the best in the hip-hop industry with Kanye West, Mos Def, A Tribe Called Quest, and Del La Soul.
Tickets are $20 and on sale now at www.bampproject.com and www.groovetickets.com.
