High surf advisory continues for all south shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf of 7 to 10 feet is expected along the south-facing shores of all islands today, prompting the National Weather Service to continue a high surf advisory.

The advisory is expected to remain in effect through Saturday afternoon.
Elsewhere on Oahu today, look for surf of 4 to 6 feet along west-facing shores, 2 to 4 feet along north-facing shores and 3 to 5 feet along east-facing shores.
Outlook through Wednesday, July 8: A series of swells originating in the southern hemisphere will maintain surf heights near or above the high surf advisory threshold of 8 feet along south-facing shores through Saturday, before diminishing Sunday and Monday.
Elsewhere, small north and northeast swells will cause a slight bump in surf heights along north- and east-facing shores during the next couple of days.
