Police on Sunday night arrested a 27-year-old Waimanalo man who allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's Kailua house last month, choked her and threatened to kill her.

Police said the woman, 20, walked into the Kailua police substation Sunday to report the incident, which she said occurred about 2 a.m. June 6.

Police arrested the suspect about 9:30 Sunday night at his home on Waikaloa Street on suspicion of first-degree burglary, felony abuse of a family or household member and second-degree terroristic threatening.
