Local bands to compete to open show for Modest Mouse at Pipeline Cafe

Four local bands will be competing July 24 at Loft Gallery and Lounge for a chance to open for Modest Mouse when they perform at Pipeline Café in September.

Bamp Project promoters and Enterprise have teamed up to put on The Opening to support local music. Our Distance and newcomers Girlfriends (Members of Le Tenia), Painted Highways (Members of Malcognitas and CTRL+ALT+DEL) and other guests will perform at the Loft from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. July 24. Tickets are $7.
"These events are really important to the local music scene because it inspires and motivates new bands." says, Ara Laylo, Head of promotions at Loft.
