By Ashlee Duenas

The Hawaiçi State Art Museum’s Second Saturday event, tomorrow, July 11, is "Color and Quilt!"
Members of the Hawaiçi Quilt Guild will share their expertise through hands-on quilting activities and demonstrations. On the front lawn, there will also be a Taiko drum performance by Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko.
Participants can learn how to create a pattern and transfer it to a quilting square to make a pillow, and learn about Okinawan Eisa Taiko, an Okinawan drum performance featuring drums thrown in the air while drummers dance as a show of national pride and bravado.
The event is free and takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hawaiçi State Art Museum.
