Waianae Boys & Girls Club opens recording studio

The Waianae Boys & Girls Club of Hawaiçi opened a professional recording studio Saturday to help teens created professional demo records.

The center opened on Saturday with a ground breaking. It will be used to help teens prepare for a career in the music industry. The studio also is open to the public for rent when not in use by the club. The studio was built with money fromt eh city Community Benefits Grant and donations from Easy Music, City Mill, First Hawaiian Bank, Walmart, Searider Productions, Olelo TV and Makaha Studios.
The Boys & Girls Club, located on Plantation Road in Waianae, is available to teens children ages 7 to 17 for $1 a year. For more information go to BGCH.com or call 696-2754.
