Thelma Mel Ancheta, 67, of Waipahu, died June 16, 2009. Born in Manila, Philippines. Retired from the Navy Exchange. Larry Loyes Kukahiko Aweau, 89, born in Kane'ohe, died June 22, 2009. He was a retired firefighter with the Honolulu Fire Department. His wife Marilyn Leone Kopp Aweau, 77, born in Eau Claire, Wis., died May 28, 2009. She was a retired registered nurse at Shriner's and Kaiser hospitals. Both were Honolulu residents. Both are survived by son, Brett "Alii"; daughter, Marla Richardson; 31 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by sons, Larry Jr., Kingsley and Herman; daughters, Liena Keaweamahi, Blossom Berry, Eadie Young, Leslie "Ha'aheo" Andrade and Charlene Palakiko; brothers, James "Biggie," Rawlins "Tako" and Arthur; sisters, Miriam Young, Mary Akui, Alice Flores, Victoria Turlade, Audrey Loo, Shirley Camara and Gloria Agres.
