Right-hand H-1 Freeway lane will close during week

Advertiser Staff

The state Department of Transportation is closing the right lane of the H-1 Freeway at the Bingham Street off-ramp this week so crews can repair the fence atop the barrier wall separating the freeway from Bingham Street.

Work will be done from 9 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., beginning tonight and running through Friday morning.

The Bingham Street off-ramp will remain open during the construction period.

However, street parking along Bingham will not be permitted during this period and the left lane of Bingham Street will be shifted to the right.

Electronic message boards have been placed at various points on the freeway to alert motorists to the lane closure. Drivers are advised to use caution while driving through work areas and to allow for extra travel time. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
