Big Island police find woman wanted in theft of wallet forgotten at cash register

Hawaii County police say this woman stole a wallet that was left at a cash register at a Hilo supermarket.

HILO — Hawaii County police said yesterday they have located and identified a woman wanted in connection with the theft of a wallet at a Hilo supermarket.

The woman allegedly took a wallet that had been left behind at a cash register. It contained identification, credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash.
Security cameras recorded images of the woman as she left the store.
Police thank the public for its help and ask that anyone with any more information on this case call the police department's non-emergency line at 935-3311 and ask for officer Gavin Kagimoto.
