Get inspired by the Earth

Advertiser Staff

Unlike Al Gore’s film about environmental situations, “Earthdance” won’t be filled with doom and gloom.

“We’re living at a time when we need stories that connect people, bring them together and inspire hope,” said Zakary Zide, EarthDance festival director and founder, in a press release.
Part of the “Sustain Your Brain” theme this summer, the UH Manoa Outreach college present free screenings of “Earthdance,” a juried compilation of comedies, documentaries, animations and adventures from around the world.
Screenings will run approximately 90 minutes at the UHM Art Auditorium and contain a unique compilation each time for different ages.
The family version will be at 3 p.m. on July 26, and a grownup version at 7 p.m. on August 1. Doorprizes will be available.
The movies celebrate the inspirational messages from the natural world, one short film at a time.
For information on the screenings, visit www.outreach.hawaii.edu/summer/sustain or call 956-9883.
