“Architectural Record” revealed their list of Top 100 Green Design Firms and one of Hawaii’s local firms is on that list. Coming in at No. 77 is Architects Hawaiçi Ltd.

After more than 60 years of existence, AHL prides itself on being a community-oriented business whose mission is to strengthen the community.

“This ranking among the nation’s top green firms is a testament to the partnership we have with our clients in creating a green and sustainable Hawaii,” said AHL’s director of Sustainability, David Bylund, in a press release.

AHL has 33 professionals, about 40 percent of their staff, who are accredited in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) and the firm has a variety of clientele, both local and international.

Some of their local projects include Beach Villas at Ko Olina, University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine and a youth outreach facility, Hale Kipa Services Center Complex.

“Engineering News-Record” compiles the list according to the design revenue generated from registered sustainable projects.
