A 74-year-old Kapolei woman was arrested last night after her husband, 79, told police his wife stabbed him several times.

The husband said he returned home about 7:40 p.m. after running an errand and opened the garage door to find his wife standing inside.
He said his wife suddenly lunged at him with a large knife and cut his right arm several times as well as his right cheek.
The husband was able to run from the area and call them, police said.
Responding officers arrested the woman on suspicion of second-degree assault.
