'Slava's Snowshow' coming to Maui

Advertiser Staff

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center is bringing “Slava’s Snowshow” to the Castle Theater on Aug. 28 and 29. Shows are Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m.

“Slava’s Snowshow” combines hilarity, poignancy and spectacle, a comedy that leaves you feeling young again. The ensemble cast of clowns creates a world in which a web of cotton envelops the audience and one tiny piece of paper begins a blinding, heart-stopping snowstorm that engulfs the audience in a blizzard of sparkling snowflakes.
The forecast for the performance is for smoke and fog effects, occasional loud music, brief showers, high winds and plenty of snow. Skies will be clear at first with clowns increasing, becoming more mischievous later in the show. The show is recommended for ages 7 and above.
Ten percent donor discounts are available. Tickets are $12, $27, $37 and $57 and one-half price for children 12 and under. Tickets go on sale Monday at the MACC box office or online.
The MACC box office is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. or by calling 242-SHOW (7469) or online at www.mauiarts.org.
