Former University of Hawai‘i standout Stacey Porter drove in all of Australia's runs today in an 5-2 upset against 2008 Olympic gold medalist Japan in the opening day of the World Cup of Softball at Oklahoma City.

Porter, who played for the Rainbows from 2001 to 2003, had a three-run home run in the third inning and added a two-run single in the fourth against Naho Emoto (0-1).
Clare Warwick, who finished her UH eligibility this season, went 1 for 4. She singled and scored on Porter's homer in the third.
Kasumi Karino had an RBI single for Japan, which also scored on a wild pitch by Justine Smethurst (1-0) in the top of the third.
Smethurst, another former UH player (2006-2007), allowed two runs and eight hits, while striking out four and walking one in 6 1/3 innings.
