The Hawaii State Farm Fair is back, and this year organizers are giving away prizes in exchange for learning.
Fair-goers who participate in the Ag Challenge could win Wii Sports and other games, a Sony PSP or an iPod Nano by correctly answering questions about Hawaiçi agriculture. The answers to all the questions are in posters, photos and stories about coffee, chocolate, taro and livestock throughout the fairgrounds.
Prize winners will be drawn at
4 p.m. tomorrow, but some attendees could win Bluetooth headsets in separate giveaways.
The Farm Fair will also include a 4-H livestock exhibit and auction, cooking demos, a corn-husking and watermelon-eating contest, rides for small kids, live entertainment, a plant sale, a farmers market and an abundance of food booths.
The fair will take place at the Bishop Museum from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 4 to 12 and includes entry into all museum attractions.
