Do-it-yourself artistry Friday at Ong King

Use leftover copies of 808 Scene Zine to create your own art Friday night at a Recycle Zine Show at Ong King Art Center.

There's acoustic music, too: Barefoot Bob, Kit Dylan, Shawn Davenport and touring artist Frank Bressi. It starts at 6 p.m. At 9 p.m., the art will be displayed and bands The Chilling Details/Whitport, SMITZ and 82Fifty take the stage until midnight.

ARCHITECTS HAWAII MAKES ECO-LIST'S TOP 100

Architects Hawaii Ltd. has made Architectural Record's list of Top 100 Green Design Firms.

The 60-year-old business came in at No. 77 in revenue generated from registered sustainable projects. The firm's local projects include the Beach Villas at Ko Olina, the University of Hawai'i's John A. Burns School of Medicine and the Hale Kipa Services Center Complex.
