Russia eliminates U.S. men's volleyball team in World League final round

Russia swept the United States men's volleyball team, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23, today, ending the defending champions run in the World League final round at Belgrade, Serbia.

USA's Clay Stanley, a Kaiser High and University of Hawai‘i alum, had six kills for six points. Sean Rooney led the U.S. with 14 points on 12 kills, one block and one ace.
Russia and host Serbia advance to the semifinals, while the Americans finished 0-2 in the finals.
