High-surf advisory for Hawaii's south shores extended to 6 p.m.

Advertiser Staff

A high-surf advisory for south-facing shores of all islands has been extended to 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service says surf will be in the 5- to 8-foot range.
High surf can cause unusual rip currents and surges. Beachgoers are advised to heed warning signs posted by lifeguards.
