ICE, ICE, BEAUTY

If you've ever thought to yourself that the only thing missing from the classic stage versions of popular fairy tales is ice dancing, then guess what? You're in luck, because the Russian Stars of Ice are in town to perform the classic "Beauty and the Beast." And it is the classic version of the tale. There'll be no singing teacups or frisky brooms. But there will be world-class ice dancers (Andrey Chuvilyaev, who plays the beast, is 6 feet 8) performing under Italian choreographer Giuseppe Arena, who also choreographed the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. Beauty and the Beast on Ice / Blaisdell Arena / July 29-Aug. 2 / 7:30 p.m. all nights, with 2 p.m matinees Aug. 1 and 2 / $30-$60 / www.ticketmaster.com, 877-750-4400
