State personnel will process applications for Hawai'i identification cards Sept. 19 at Mililani High School. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applicants must bring an original Social Security card and a copy of their birth certificate or resident alien card. All changes in status or name due to marriage, divorce, annulment, adoption or citizenship must also be certified by government-issued documents.

Altered or illegible documents will not be accepted.

The fee is $15, or $10 for people 65 and older. Only cash will be accepted.

The ID cards are good for eight years, an increase from the former six-year period.
