Mostly sunny day with isolated showers in Island forecast

The National Weather Service says today will be mostly sunny with isolated showers.
We’ll see temperature highs in the mid- to high-80s and east winds of 10 to 15 mph.
The weather service says there is a slight chance that portions of the Big Island could get hit with heavy rain this afternoon, even some thunderstorms.
Surf will be down, but a south swell is expected to arrive Thursday or Thursday night.
