A 43-year-old homeless man was arrested in the Makiki area last night after he allegedly kicked another man in the leg as the two men passed on a sidewalk.

The 42-year-old man who filed the complaint told police that when he turned to face the other man after being kicked, he was hit in the face with a bicycle lock.
The complainant told police the man who hit him ran away, but he followed him while yelling for help.
Police officers who were sent to the area arrested the suspect in the 1200-block of Alexander Street on suspicion of second-degree assault.
