McDonald's is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its Happy Meals with 30th Birthday Teenie Beanie Babies.

The Teenie Beanie Babies come in 30 varieties — including McDonald's exclusive characters — and include codes to play games in the online McWorld or Ty's Beanie Babies 2.0 site.

In addition, McDonald's is donating a portion of proceeds from every Happy Meal sold to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii, which provides a home away from home for families who have a seriously ill or injured child in the hospital.

FUN FOR KIDS

GARDEN EVENTS INCLUDE STORIES, CONCERT AND MORE

Foster Botanical Garden will start and end this Thursday with kid-friendly activities.

From 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., there's Story Time in the Garden for preschoolers age 3-5, which includes a nature craft, singing and visiting a tree in the garden. Reservations are required; the event is free for children under 5 with paid adult admission to the gardens ($3 residents, $5 nonresidents, $1 for children 6-12).

Then at 5 p.m., the ongoing Twilight Concert Series this week features a harp ensemble and teddy bear picnic. The event is free and garden grounds are open from 4:30 to 7:15 p.m.
