The Hawai'i Island Movers, who recently completed a trip to Japan in which they played 16 games, will cap their season with two tournaments over the next two weeks.

The first event, called the Hawai'i Island Movers Tournament, will be played tomorrow through Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium.

It will feature Japan teams, Osaka Gakuin University and Hokusho University, the Movers and a local All-Star team from the Paradise College Baseball League, which consists of recent high school graduates and college players.

The second event, called the International Tournament, will be held Aug. 6 to 9 at Murakami and will feature the Tokyo Big Six All-Star team, which is from the top conference in Japan, Kyushu University All-Stars, Sendai University All-Stars, Paradise All-Stars and the Movers.

The Tokyo Big Six team won the conference championship this past year. It will have its top college pitcher as well as top player and pro prospects on the team.

Players from Japan's other top conference also will participate.

Admission to the games is free.

The Movers consist of college players, some recent Hawai'i high school graduates going to college and several Japan players.

Some of the players include incoming University of Hawai'i players Breland Almodova ('Iolani) and Pi'ikea Kitamura (Kamehameha). They will be joined by recent Punahou School graduates Jeremy Fujimoto and Tyler Young.

Hawai'i Pacific players Kevin Matsumoto and Toby Inouye, and UH-Hilo players Clayton Uyechi and Chris Pascual also are on the Movers, along with several Hawai'i players at Mainland colleges.

The Movers went 6-4-6 on the Japan trip, including games against Japan All-Star teams.
