Advertiser Staff

An 'Enchanted Fantasy" fundraiser will be held in Kailua-Kona Saturday to raise money for the Hawaii Island HIV/AIDS Foundation in memory of Erik De Mers Travys.

The show aims to raise awareness of the Travys House, established to provide a safe haven for gay youth. Tehane Travys, who started the program, will perform "Footprints in the Sand" in memory of Erik DeMers Travys, who lived in Kona for five years and died at age 30.

Doors open at 5 p.m. at the Kamakahonu ballroom in King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. Aawaiian music and a hula show begins at 6 p.m. followed by female illusionists, including 2009 Miss Hawaii Island Pride Cyenna Italanie Travys.

The event is for adults 18 and over. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and $30 for a reserved table and are available in Kona at Double Dare, Kamuela Deli and the Hawaii Island HIV/AIDS Foundation, or in Hilo at Cherry Jubilee and Sun & Sea Hawaii.
