Hawaii gets $500K in federal funds for employment services

Hawaiçi will receive $521,860 of U.S. Department of Labor funding for training and employment services for people receiving unemployment insurance.

The grant, part of $26.5 million of funding to 25 states, will allow staff at one-stop career centers to conduct in-person assessments with individuals who are on unemployment. The assessments are used to determine service and training needs.
