Final lineup set for June 9 Na Hoku awards show

Slack Key guitar, Hawaiian mele, and island rhythms are just some of the musical genres to be performed at The 2009 Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

The diverse lineup of musicians taking the stage June 9 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel was announced today.
Joining the list of performers are Ten Feet and Imua Garza; Del Beazley and Manoa Voices. Performers already announced were former Hawaii Calls performers Nina Keali'iwahamana, Iwalani Kahalewai, Joe Recca, Jeff Au Hoy, Gary Aiko, Ha‘a Heyer, Boyce Rodrigues, Natalie Ai Kamauu, Iolani Kamauu and Jeff Rassmussen.
The Hawaii Calls radio program ran from 1935 – 1975, and brought Hawaiian music to audiences worldwide. Also performing is Teresa Bright, Kit Ebersbach, and Stephen Jones; Holunape and Diana Aki; Ledward Kaapana, Mike Kaawa, and Amy Hanaiali'i; Rebel Soljaz and Sean Na'auao, Tony Conjugacion with Manoa DNA; Kupaoa and Darren Benitez; and Slack Key Kings with Pali Ka‘aihue and Kalei Gamiao.
The show will be carried live on KFVE.
