Hawaii surf: 5-7 feet expected on north, south shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along the north- and south facing shores of Oahu is on the way up today and should reach 5 to 7 feet in botch locations, the National Weather Service said.

Elsewhere on Oahu, look for surf of 2 to 4 feet along east facing shores and 3 to 5 feet along west-facing shores..
Outlook through Monday, June 8: A small northwest swell will peak today, then lower Thursday.
A long-period, south swell was expected to build over night, peak today, then start diminishing gradually through Friday. Another south swell is due in over the weekend. Both swells will produce occasional overhead sets.
