The U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corp will be visiting Hawaii on June 5 to 13 to perform at several military ceremonies and public events.

Performing drill and patriotic music such as "Yankee Doodle" while donning Colonial-style tricorn hats, white wigs and red greatcoats, The Fife and Drum Corps evokes the "Spirit of '76" with soldiers and musicians parading in uniforms inspired by those worn by musicians of the Continental Army.
A musical tribute to the "Year of the Noncommissioned Officer" hosted by U.S. Army, Pacific will take place on the lawn at Fort DeRussy's Kuroda Park in Waikiki from 6 to 8 p.m. on June 10.
Other public appearances include visits to the Hawaii State Art Museum, Sun Yat Sen Park, Tamarind Square Shriner’s Hospital and more.
Created in 1960, the corps is assigned to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), at Fort Myer in Virginia.
The corps performs at all White House Full Honor Arrival Ceremonies for foreign heads of state and has performed in every inaugural parade since the inauguration of President John F. Kennedy in 1961. The corps travels extensively as an official representative of the U.S. Army, averaging nearly 500 performances annually.
