Hawaii surf: 3-5 feet expected on north, south shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf will be on the way down today along most shores of Oahu, the National Weather Service said.

Surf along north- and south-facing shores will decline from the 5 to 7 feet yesterday to 3 to 5 feet today, forecasters said.
Surf along west-facing shores will also be down a bit, dropping from 2 to 5 feet yesterday to an expected 1 to 3 feet today.
Along Oahu’s east-facing shores, look for surf of 1 to 3 feet.
Outlook through Tuesday, June 9: The long-period south swell will slowly diminish but two more south swells will again produce surf near the 8-foot advisory threshold on south-facing shores.
The first swell will arrive late Sunday and the next one on Tuesday.
