This Sunday, soak in the nature at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden in Kane'ohe, then head over to the garden's art gallery in the afternoon to celebrate light.

From 4 to 6 p.m., the gallery is hosting an opening reception for "Revelry of Light," a multimedia exhibition by artist James E. Drorbaugh Jr., who will be showing landscapes and seascapes he created with watercolor and acrylic paints or caught on camera. The exhibit runs through June 30.

The reception is free and open to the public, as is admission to the gardens.

Ho'omaluhia's regular public hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 233-7323.

LOCAL HOME MAKEOVER ON TV TONIGHT

Catch a local-style extreme home makeover show tonight at 8 p.m. on KITV. "The Style My Room Makeover Special" reveals the final result of the Advertiser co-sponsored contest, which offered a living room makeover to grand prize winners Chris and Jo Ann Agena of Moanalua Valley. Local businesses donated $30,000 in goods and services to aid in the dramatic transformation.

RSVPstyle's Cathy Lee — who spearheaded the contest — taught the family the fundamentals for redesigning their own space and promises tips local viewers can use to make over their own homes.
