Even if you don’t own traditional white croquet attire, you can enjoy a casual round of croquet at the Mission Houses Museum, sip mint iced tea or lemonade and nibble on tea sandwiches and delectable desserts from 1 to 4 p.m. today.

The only thing you can’t do without the “whites” is participate in the Best Hat and Attire contest.
The fundraiser is $20 per adult player or team; $10 per child player (ages 8-12); $10 for nonplaying adults and free for children under 8.
Bring the little ones even if they don’t swing a mallet because activities will be provided and the event includes free admission to “Alphabet Soup: Literacy, Language and Learning,” along with a commemorative souvenir.
Call Susie Goodbody Murphy at 223-6528 before you go if you haven’t already registered.
