The nation's top linebacker, King Kekaulike's first inductee and 10 other top high school seniors will be honored at tonight's Hawai'i High School Athletic Association Foundation Hall of Honor dinner at the Sheraton Waikiki.

Leading this year's class of inductees is Punahou's Manti Te'o, who was showered with national awards and recognition last December after helping guide the Buffanblu to their first football state championship.

The linebacker is regarded as the most highly recruited college prospect from Hawai'i, and will play for Notre Dame.

Bailey Massenburg (cross country, track, tennis) is the first inductee from King Kekaulike, which had its first graduating class in 1999.

The 2009 Hall of Honor class also includes:

  • Breland Almadova, 'Iolani (football, baseball);

  • Tani Costa, Kalani (soccer);

  • Jray Galea'i, Kahuku (football, basketball);

  • Taylor Ibera, Farrington (judo, wrestling);

  • Bryce Jenkins, Leilehua (cross country, track);

  • Kristin Lim, Punahou (tennis, soccer);

  • Kela Marciel, 'Iolani (football, basketball, baseball);

  • Aisha Price, Punahou (soccer, water polo);

  • Meleana Shim, Kamehameha (soccer);

  • Christel Simms, Punahou (swimming).
