THE OLD WAILUKU INN at 'Ulupono on Maui is offering a special $119 per night kama'aina rate June 20 through July 4, including a full gourmet breakfast. Ensconced in a historically recognized 1924 home on Maui's High Street, with a charming Vagabond's House addition at the rear, the inn is decorated in period style throughout and breakfast is served in a sunny, many-windowed veranda. The spacious and shady front porch invites relaxing and the living room is stuffed with books on Isle culture and history. The inn offers 10 guest rooms, seven in the house and three in the cottage, and amenities include high-speed Internet access, Aveda personal care products, fine cotton bed linen, TV, coffee makers, air conditioners and ceiling fans. THE KAHALA HOTEL & RESORT is offering room and event packages for the two-day visit here of celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse during The Kahala Food & Wine Classic June 12 and 13. Events including an "Essence of Emeril" Cajun/Creole dinner on the Kahala O Ke Kai Lawn 7 p.m. June 12 and a " 'New' New Orleans Cuisine" menu in the Maile Barroom June 13. THE COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT has opened in Waikiki and is offering a special kama'aina rate from $109 per night. The 400-room hotel (93 one-bedroom suites) is formerly the Wyland Waikiki and underwent a multimillion-dollar makeover in 2007. Most rooms have a private lanai, pillow-top beds, flat-screen HD TVs, high-speed Internet cable, refrigerators, coffeemakers and cable TV. The Courtyard by Marriott is at 400 Royal Hawaiian Ave., a short walk from the beach. The special rate for locals lasts through Dec. 22, with valid ID. Restrictions may apply.
