Former Pac-Five, NFL player Pio Sagapolutele dies at 39

Pio Sagapolutele, who helped Pac-Five to the 1985 Prep Bowl title and started for the New England Patriots in the 1997 Super Bowl, died Sunday in Arizona, family and NFL officials said.

Sagapolutele, 39, suffered a brain aneurysm on Friday.
Born in American Samoa and raised in Kalihi, he came out Kuhio Park Terrace to start for Maryknoll on the basketball court and Pac-Five in football.
He was a fourth round pick of the Cleveland Browns in the 1991 NFL draft.
He leaves a wife and four children.
