After his team's stellar season, Roosevelt junior setter Joby Ramos was voted the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East Player of the Year by league coaches.

The Rough Riders (16-1) won the OIA Red championship and finished third at the state championships.

Castle's Pat Gomes-Woolsey and Roosevelt's Kaui Mendonca were selected as Co-Coaches of the Year. Gomes-Woolsey's Knights (9-9) advanced to the state championships.

Moanalua's Frankie Kwong was chosen as the OIA White East Player of the Year. A 6-foot senior outside hitter, Kwong helped lead Na Menehune (13-4) to the OIA White title and a third-place finish at the state Division II championships.

Joining Kwong on the first team were teammates Tyler Oshiro and setter Shane Aquino. Desmond Tautofi, Rodney Maui and libero Wiseman Demei of Kaimuki and Kaiser's Keola Hunt also made the first team.

Kaimuki coach Jared Westenhaver was voted as the Coach of the Year. The Bulldogs (6-10) qualified for the state Division II championships.
