Average Hawaii gas price up 7 cents to $2.92 a gallon

The average price of a gallon of gasoline statewide rose 7 cents this week, AAA Hawaii reported today.

A gallon of regular averaged $2.92, up from $2.85 the previous week, the AAA said in its Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.
In Honolulu, the average price was $2.85 a gallon, up 8 cents from last week. The Honolulu average was up 42 cents from a month ago, but $1.27 lower than this time last year.
In Hilo, the average price was $2.99 a gallon, up 8 cents from a week ago. It was 38 cents higher than a month ago, but $1.27 lower than a year ago.
The average price in Wailuku of $3.20 a gallon was up 10 cents from last week. It was up 40 cents from a month ago, but down $1.31 from a year ago.
