H-1 Freeway lanes closing today to allow maintenance

Advertiser Staff

O'ahu motorists are being advised that two westbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway will be closed for maintenance work on the ZipperLane from 12:30 to 10 a.m. this morning.

The state Department of Transportation said the lanes will be closed from the Ke'ehi interchange in Mapunapuna to the Waimalu off-ramp. During the closure, the ZipperLane barriers will be deployed as crews replace damaged sections and perform maintenance work.

The project was scheduled on the Kamehameha Day holiday to ensure the least impact on traffic, the state said.
