Hawaii awards $10 million airport boarding bridge contract to JBT

Associated Press

CHICAGO — JBT Corp., which makes airport and food-processing equipment, says the state of Hawaii has awarded its JBT AeroTech business a $10 million contract.

It will supply 15 new passenger-boarding bridges for gates at Honolulu International Airport.
The Chicago-based company said yesterday that it will make most of the equipment by the fourth quarter of 2009 and will complete installation by the fourth quarter of 2010.
The company has provided upgraded bridges in five other projects to modernize the airport.
JBT shares rose 9 cents to $14.56 in morning trading.
